The Gyrofocus fireplace rotates 360°, making it easy to turn in any direction to warm any part of the room. This unique fireplace is a winner. It took first place in the Pulchra design competition, a beauty contest for inanimate objects. The recognition is no surprise. It was developed by Dominique Imbert in 1968 and has an appearance that is simple yet classy, proving that there is still beauty in the older designs. The design beat out a lot of tough competition, including an array of beautiful objects like a Sony Ericsson mobile phone, a television designed by Philips and a Leo Cut diamond. Not bad for a Plain Jane.
